- No joining fee required.

What is the waiting period?
There is a standard 3-month waiting period for new members. However, if you are moving from another funeral parlor with an active policy, the waiting period may be waived.
Is there a joining fee?
No, there is no joining fee required to become a member of Ikhaya Le Africa Funeral Services.
Can I cover family members with different surnames?
Yes, we accept different surnames (Izibongo ezingafani siyazithatha). You can cover extended family members under your plan provided they are listed on the policy.
How do I claim?
To claim, please visit our offices with the deceased’s ID, death certificate, and your policy document. Our staff will assist you through the process to ensure a dignified send-off.
What happens if I miss a payment?
It is important to pay your premiums on time to ensure you remain covered. If you miss a payment, your policy may lapse. Please contact us immediately if you anticipate a payment issue.
Do you offer cash-back?
Yes, select plans include a Grocery Cash Back benefit (R1000 or R2000 depending on the plan) to assist with funeral preparations.
